It was a late surge that saw Manchester City grab a point at the Emirates behind two goals from their Argentinian nationals. Sergio Aguero opened up the scoring in the first half and Martin Demichelis tied from a late header on the day.Danny Welbeck had a positive debut and almost had a perfect start when he chipped Hart early on but the ball unfortunately graced the post to deny him his debut goal. El Kun Aguero officially opened up the scoring in the 28th minute after a mistake with Flamini trailing the striker and allowing too much distance between him which lead to a lead pass from the right side of the box to put City up 1-0.
Arsenal were unfortunate to concede as they had bossed the first 20 minutes of the half. Ozil looked lost throughout most of the game but helped contribute to a few key passes. Arsenal finally found the equalizer thanks to Wilshire chipping the ball over Hart and the game was on.
Alexis Sanchez put the Gunners up 2-1 minutes later from a spectacular volley. The Chilean has been coming into his own ever since he scored his first goal for the club in a Champions League Playoff a few weeks ago. The Gunners efforts were for not though when a moment of lack of discipline cost them points as Martin Demichelis found himself completely alone from a corner kick and tied the game in the 83rd minute. With his goal it was the first time that two Argentinians had scored in a match against Arsenal.
Both teams will now look to move forward with Champions League coming back this week. City face a brutal schedule including todays match as they go and now visit the reigning German Champions Bayern Munchen and then face Chelsea next weekend. Arsenal take on another German giant in champions as well against Dortmund.
